Meeska Mooska Mickey Mouse! For Evan’s third birthday party, we transformed our house into the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Our little three-year-olds enjoyed the party so much that they came as kids and left as Mouseketeers!!

The Invitation
We purchased a sound recording module that is custom made for greeting cards. We recorded the segment of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse– “Come to the birthday party, at the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. You’re the special guest, of the one and only Mickey Mouse.” When the doorbell on the invitation was pressed, invitees heard the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song!
In order to hide the sound recording module, we put the front of the invitation on top of foam and cut out the inside of the foam board. We then cut out the circle for the doorbell so that the button to play the song would poke through.
Evan adored Mickey. Can you tell? This picture was featured on the inside of the card, and the image frame came from this Etsy site.
The Color Scheme
The happy colors we used were bright green, yellow, blue, and red with black accents for Mickey. We found these cute printables on Etsy here.
The Flowers
Well….. sort of flowers! We found this arrangement at Edible Arrangements.
We also placed simple white flowers in white milk jars with Mickey printables.
The Cake
My son was in a phase of not liking cake so we made a huge chocolate chip cookie instead and covered it with fondant. Mickey’s eye’s were made by printing edible paper.
Our Mickey Mouse Clubhouse-themed dessert table! Large lollipops and caramel apples are often found at Disney World. We thought it would be fun to include them. We printed out sticker paper with a Mickey head and my son’s name in the middle of the Mickey head and attached it on the lollipop. We made cookies with edible images that you can buy on Etsy here.
Ordinary brownies become Mickey brownies when you use a cookie cutter to cut them out, dip them in red melting chocolate, and then position two yellow M&Ms on top.
To create the dessert clubhouse, we started with a large rectangle of styrofoam and added a green Ikea mat to the top. A cut blue pool noodle was used to make the slide. Styrofoam balls covered in fondant comprised the house and cutout images where used to make the fence. Cake pops and mini red cupcakes were added to the house and yard.
The Food
Mini Mickey quiches were made in silicone muffin molds! We placed pie dough down first and then the egg mixture.
For this party, we brought in a crepe vendor that we have enjoyed and knew our adult attendees would appreciate. Each guest could order a savory and a sweet crepe from The Crepe Company.
The Decorations
We purchased black plates and put two circles on top to make them into Mickey or Minnie ears. We folded up the napkins like an accordion and secured it with a clear hair tie. Voila–we had bows! The Minnie plates had bow napkin at the top of the plate, and the Mickey plates had the bow below, like a bow tie.
This amazing banner was made with my Cricut Explore Air 2. You can layer paper to make great Mickey characters!
We made this sign by starting with an unfinished wooden arrow. We painted it white and red and then glued on cut-out letters that were cut on my Cricut Explore Air 2. Mod Podge was used to make the letters permanent on the sign.
This cute Mickey arm was made by using aluminum bars attached with nuts and bolts. We put these bars in between 2 inch dowels that we cut. The bars were spray painted red and the dowels yellow.
Make these great Mickey letters by starting with unfinished wooden letters and paint them. We also bought black felt to make the ears for Pluto and Goofy. You can find the hats for Donald and Goofy in the Etsy printables here.
The Entertainment
We partially baked Mickey head-shaped pizza dough. The kids topped it off with sauce, cheese, and then any other toppings that they desired. Each child wore a chef hat with a chef Mickey sticker on it. Learn how to make this pizza with this Craftsy class here.
A refrigerator box was transformed to a photo booth!
Each party guest chose an ensemble that would help them become their favorite Mickey character! We found the cute Disney character hats on Etsy here.
A fantastic backdrop in our photo-booth would remind guests of the theme long after our party!
An iPad in the front of the photo-booth here was equipped with an app that took pictures just like a commercial photo-booth. Photos could be printed with a wireless printer. It was helpful to have directions for the guests above the iPad.
This amazing bounce house had so many activities for the kids!
We set up a small Mickey Mouse carnival, and provided prizes at this booth. We found the booth at Ikea and then decorated it to match the Mickey theme. A lot of the decorations were printed on sticker paper from my Etsy party download. The carnival letters were cut with my Cricut Explore Air 2.
These were examples of the carnival games. We personalized the bean bag toss with printable Mickey stickers.
We printed out a large picture of my son, and blindfolded guests put Mickey ears on his head! We made these hats with printable sticker paper and put the kids’ names on with a white paint pen.
The Favors
We had these Mickey character bags made on Etsy here. Guests took home treats from the dessert table, carnival prizes, photo-booth photos, and other party loot in their bags. Cute little tins in colors that fit our theme were filled with various Mickey-themed items.
As always, you impress me so much!! This is so adorable! How do you even get it all done!? Every little detail is to the nines!
Thanks so much Lori! That means a lot coming from you! I really am very passionate about the parties that I create. I try to start way ahead of time, but the day of is always a little hectic (especially with the little ones around).
Everything looks so fun and cute! I love all of your Micky themed snack ideas!
Thank you Sarina! We had fun coming up with the Mickey snack ideas. It helps that we live right by Disney!
Mickey mouse club house was one of my kids’ favorites growing up! So many great ideas here! I’ve never seen a crepe vendor at a party… so cool!!
I am really loving the theme/design of your web site. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility problems? A few of my blog readers have complained about my website not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Chrome. Do you have any tips to help fix this issue?
I haven’t run into this issue.
