For Evan’s 5th birthday, we hosted a movie screening party. We purchased an outdoor movie screen that we placed in the backyard. Evan’s guests were the first to view our three short movies! Some of the kids at the party were stars in the short movies; it was only fitting these stars walked the red carpet when they arrived to our party!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Party
Meeska Mooska Mickey Mouse! For Evan’s third birthday party, we transformed our house into the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Our little three-year-olds enjoyed the party so much that they came as kids and left as Mouseketeers!!
2nd Birthday-Train Party
When Evan was two, he was obsessed with trains. All Aboooooard! Our house became a train wonderland! We rented a train that offered kids rides around the neighborhood, crafted a mini train track inside our house, and had food and beverage train stations. Everyone said that it was TRAIN-TASTIC!!
Making a Brie En Croute
Before diving into this project let’s break it down. Brie is a type of soft cheese and en croute simply means wrapped in pastry. The phonetic pronunciation is bree on kroot. A brie en croute consists of a round of brie cheese, topped with jam, and then wrapped in puff pastry. Place all of these components in the oven. The brie cheese gets soft and melty and the pastry gets brown and crispy… Yum! Making a brie en croute is such a fun way to personalize your food for a party. Since we had an UP party, we wanted to make this Brie En Croute with the UP letters. The possibilities for letters and symbols are endless!
DIY Flower Arrangements
Arrange your own flowers using one or two colors from your theme rather than purchasing a pre-made arrangement. For example, my flower choices for this party were hydrangeas and peonies in various shades of pink with white for contrast.
Ballet Baby Shower
My guest of honor for this party was a health-conscious teacher who loved to dance. This shower reflected her interests and hobbies and since she was having a little girl, a ballet-themed baby shower was perfect! The guest of honor appreciated that the food was healthy and gluten free to reflect her lifestyle.
Sandwiches, wraps and fruit dip menu
What is impressive about this menu is that everything tastes wonderful at room temperature; you don’t have to worry about serving things piping hot on the table or at your picnic. You can make a great deal of this menu ahead of time and assemble the sandwiches the morning of your event.
Camping Birthday Party
For Evan’s 4th birthday, we camped with a handful of friends and relatives. We rented four side-by side campsites and designated one campsite as the festivity area! We love Disney and their camping is just as great as everything else that they do!!
